Great Give Day returns on Tuesday, May 5, 2015! The second annual event is a 24-hour, online-only giving event for Northeast Iowa nonprofits presented by the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque.
Since 2003 the Museum has served 2.25 million visitors and has established itself as the leading cultural and environmental facility and largest tourist attraction within a 150 mile radius. According to the Dubuque Arts and Culture Commission, the museum now accounts for $10.5 million in economic impact annually. In addition, we average well over 175,000 visitors per year, which is three times the entire population of Dubuque, combining tourists and residents alike. In summer of 2015 the Museum & Aquarium will embark on many new opportunities to inspire and engage a global audience, educate the next generation across various STEM disciplines, and showcase new scientific discoveries. With your continued support, we will be the nation’s premier center to interpret and preserve the Mississippi River’s natural environment and history and create more knowledgeable and engaged citizens.
Your contribution will support our National Endowment for the Humanities Challenge Grant of $750,000, working to ensure longevity and prosperity for the Dubuque Country Historical Society and all affiliates.
Giving is only during the 24 hours of May 5th and only online. To give, visit the Museum & Aquarium’s Great Give Day page.
