With the help of the Dubuque Racing Association, The National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium will introduce a new educational outreach program later this summer.
This program will offer museum visitors the opportunity to engage with sea life as it applies to the Mississippi River Delta and Gulf of Mexico. “We have seen over 9,500 outreach program participants and anticipate, with the help of the Dubuque Racing Association’s grant, that number will grow to 15,000,” said Jennifer Drayna, outreach coordinator at the Museum & Aquarium. She continued to say, “Here at the museum, we look forward to introducing this new educational outreach program and expect fun, new opportunities for the visitors, to come from it”.
The National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium, in conjunction with the Dubuque County Historical Society and the Mathias Ham Historic Site, consistently strives to fulfill our mission to inspire stewardship by creating educational experiences where history and rivers come alive. Thanks to the Dubuque Racing Association’s generous support of the institution, the Museum & Aquarium can connect more visitors to the specific experiences that excite and inspire them.
