The National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium, and Dubuque County Historical Society’s annual Captain’s Ball will be held at the Museum & Aquarium on Thursday, Nov. 2. This year’s theme is “Masquerade at the Museum.” Brazen Open Kitchen will be catering the event. Various acts of live entertainment will be on hand, along with live and silent auctions. Proceeds from this event benefit the organization’s education and conservation efforts.
Attire: Men – Black suit or tuxedo. Women – Full-length or cocktail dress. Masquerade masks are provided. Attire suggestions: renttherunway.com or Discovery Shop, 2197 University in Dubuque.
5 p.m. – Behind the scenes tours for sponsors and VIPs
6 p.m. – Cocktail hour and silent auction
7 p.m. – Dinner and live entertainment
8 p.m. – Live auction
