Join us for the ever-popular Public Scout Overnight, an overnight experience filled with fun and engaging activities! This opportunity is open to Scouts grade 2-6 with no miniumum to register.
Schedule:
Apr. 1: 6:00-6:45 PM: Scouts arrive. Explore the museum after hours and participate in a fun scavenger hunt while we wait for all groups to arrive. Once all groups have arrived, set up sleeping areas.
6:45-9 PM: Participate in an animal program and a hands-on science program.
9-10:30 PM: Enjoy a film in the Journey Theater!
11-11:30 PM: Settle in for the night. Lights out at 11:30.
Apr. 2: 7:00am-8:00am: Wake up and clean up, take bags to cars
8:00am-8:30am: Breakfast in grill
8:30am-Museum open: Possibly tour museum before open or checkout time Leave before museum opens OR self-tour after museum opens
Included:
- All programs mentioned are included in the price.
- Admission for one day is included with this overnight. Scouts may tour the museum more fully on April 1 prior to the start of the overnight or on April 2 prior to departure.
- Sunday breakfast is included; however, Saturday dinner is not included.

Additional FAQ's:
- Boys and girls will be in different sleeping areas - preferrably different buildings depending on number of participants.
- Packs/troops do not need to register for the overnight as a group; however, if they are registering as individuals, the scout will need to have an adult accompany them.
- One adult can accompany other scouts (it does not need to be a leader). We will need to know who the adult will be accompanying the scout when they register.
- No more than seven scouts per adult (Please make sure to check your council rules - they may require lesser ratio of scouts per adults).
- We ask that unless siblings do no attend unless they are in scouts grades 2-6
