River Museum Announces Date for Party for the Planet

The National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium is set to host its annual Party for the Planet event on Saturday, April 22 from 10 AM – 3 PM to celebrate Earth Day and engage in a day full of activities centered around conservation efforts in agriculture and our watersheds. Nutrien Partners with River Museum for Educational Programming in April

The National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium in partnership with Nutrien will host Youth Days on Friday, April 21 and Monday, April 24 in conjunction with the annual Party for the Planet event. River Museum Tabbed Target Circle Partner

Celebrate the Holidays at the Ham Site

Candlelight Tours and Home for the Holidays are returning to the Mathias Ham Historic Site this holiday season. Guests are invited to the site on Dec. 17 and 18 to take part in Victorian era traditions. A Holiday Classic is Coming to the Ham Site

A new immersive experience is coming to the Mathias Ham House this holiday season. A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens will take place on Dec. 10-11. The live performances will play out through the entirety of the house with the audience following from room-to-room as the story unfolds, creating a new experience for visitors. The National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium is getting geared up for Mad Scientist Fun Day on Sunday, Oct. 30. Families are invited to come to the River Museum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and take part in many “mad scientist” themed activities. Sarah and Macy present a Haunting on Lincoln Ave.

A Haunting on Lincoln Ave. is returning to the Mathias Ham Historic Site on October 22. Daytime half hour guided tours will take place from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with two evening one hour tours at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. A special twist has been added for this year. A Competition is Coming to the River Museum

The National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium is hosting a new event on September 8th called The Great Museum Race. Registration opens on July 8th, and teams will compete in many different games with the top three teams taking home prizes. Teams of up to four will take on 15 tasks including memory games, physical challenges, and single and multi-player activities. The Mathias Ham Historic Site is celebrating Independence Day this year with its annual 4th of July Ice Cream Social from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at its location on Lincoln Ave. in Dubuque.
