Wahlert Family Foundation supports free access to National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium educational opportunities

The Wahlert Family Foundation recently awarded the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium $3,000 towards its Everybody’s Museum Membership (EMM) program.

Guided by its efforts to support the lives of those less fortunate and contribute to the betterment of life in Dubuque, Iowa, the Foundation’s financial support will be used to provide equal access opportunities to the underserved of Dubuque County. This includes free access for EMM program participants to visit the River Museum and Mathias Ham Historic Site, support for free outreach programs in the local community, and support for free need-based scholarships to River Museum summer camps.

EMM criteria and applications can be found at rivermuseum.com/financial-assistance-programs. The program provides free admission for EMM program participants for one year to both the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium and the Mathias Ham Historic Site.

For those seeking more information on the program or for help applying to the program, contact Kimberly Mulheron, Membership Coordinator at 563-557-9545 x220 or kmulheron@rivermuseum.com
