Spring Break Camps

The River Museum is offering special day camps for kids in K-5th grade during Spring Break Day Camp on March 11 - 15. Each day offers different themed sessions with fun and engaging educational programs. Sessions run from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. and will require students to bring a sack lunch.

Camp size is limited, and early registration is required.  

Campers must bring a sack lunch and reusable water bottle each day of camp. 

Daily Camp Schedule: Morning Session 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
 | Afternoon Session 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Single Day: $50 Members | $60 Non-Members
Full Week Sessions: 
$200 Members ($50 savings) | $240 Non-Members ($60 savings)

Join us as we take a tour of the homes animals live in.

Flying pigs? Unheard of! But other wildlife with wings do exist.  From butterflies to birds, flying species come in all shapes and sizes. Together, let’s explore the museum in search of things with wings and learn what makes each animal’s wings unique.

How do I get from point A to point B?  Have you ever wondered how people navigate barges, steam engines or even dredge boats? If so, join us as we discover the different tools used to navigate along the Mississippi River and compare it to navigation in the past.

Spring is the time for romance in the animal kingdom. We will explore some bizarre and complex dating rituals among land and aquatic species.  Also, you will learn relationship styles different animals have with each other, whether it is mutualistic or competitive.
