The National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium is hosting two Summer Job Fairs at its Mississippi River Discovery Center (Paddlewheel Building), located at 350 E. 3rd St. in Dubuque, Iowa, on April 25 from 4 – 6 p.m. and April 29 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Interested applicants can complete applications in advance or at the job fair. Resumes and cover letters are also accepted. On the spot interviews will be held, and those who interview will receive a free ticket to the museum.

Open positions are available online at Apply. Research suggests that women and individuals from underrepresented backgrounds often apply to jobs only if they meet 100% of the qualifications. The River Museum recognizes that it is highly unlikely for any applicant to meet all qualifications for a given role and welcomes anyone interested in meaningful employment.

Employees of the River Museum receive membership to the organization as well as discounts on food from the grill and all museum store purchases. Positions are available in a number of departments for all days of the week. Applicants must be a minimum of age 14 to apply, and many positions are available for year-round employment.

The National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium is Travel Iowa’s 2022 Outstanding Attraction of the Year and a TripAdvisor 2021 Travelers’ Choice award winner. Employees positively contribute to the organization’s reputation by providing superior customer service and education to guests from across the country and around the world—all while fulfilling our mission of inspiring stewardship by creating educational experiences where history and rivers come alive.
